    Format description: The session will be 60 minutes with a round table for the speakers and audience. Overflow of audience would have classroom seating as well. The speakers facing each other is important as they will pick up cues and nuances from each other to reinforce their positions. The session is meant to be a discussion amongst and between the session presenters who are sharing best practices and their own personal experiences.

    A How does a motivated group committed to a Multilingual Internet mobilize community members to move from mere tokenism to practical high quality indigenous language offerings? B How to build effective teams and keep control C What safeguards can be put into place to avoid direct or indirect political censorship of content that advocates an Open and Free Internet and is critical of Internet Shutdowns etc
    What will participants gain from attending this session? Target audience includes human rights advocates from civil society, educators, government bureaucrats, politicians, and students. The session aims to inspire and motivate similar types of LET (Language Empowerment Teams) The session will provide practical lessons learnt on the challenges and opportunities of building international teams to work collaborative for a common goal. The teams come from Canada, Pakistan, India, Bengladesh, France, Columbia, Puerto Rico and others. The practical technology experiences to be shared with the group will include use of MOODLE, REVOICER, AI tools and others.
    Description:

    The workshop will focus on the theme of Universal Acceptance and Digital Rights. our approach is called LET ( Language Empowerment Teams) which are recruited for the shared responsibility for online translation conversion for the delivery of the course materials in a Massive Open Online Courseware platform using MOODLE. The presentations will provide life lessons in practical terms on experiences of building international teams to create non-English online content that is accessible and free. The languages include Spanish, French, Bengali, and Urdu. We will discuss how they managed to build and eventually deliver a high-quality learning resource in collaboration with dedicated volunteers and leadership. The session will detail the nuances of how each team created and managed to deliver the language cohorts. In addition, the speakers will detail their experiences working on the delivery of the courses in Spanish in Cuba. In addition, the French course will be detailed on the onerous process of maintaining the content so its current and relevant The best practice of the approach is a practical demonstration on how international teams of content creators and translators can work collaboratively with a shared vision and personal pride to create critical content in their own native languages which empowers the local populations.

    Hybrid Format: We will have an online moderator for the streaming of the materials. The moderator will constantly communicate before, during and after each short presentation from the teams. We will ask attendees to complete a session Google Form survey on their experience onsite and/or online . This will be provided in advance in a promotional card with a QR code to scan with their phones A shared Google Doc will engage the participants to add resources with links that will help others on the same journey
